39% of people said they’re concerned about not getting sufficient training in digital and technology skills from their employer, according to a PWC survey. 🤯
And the same percentage of people thought their job would be obsolete within 5 years, according to the same survey.
The message is clear: we need new skills for a new world.
But what is upskilling? Many of us don’t even really know, let alone how to upskill ourselves. 🤔
Fortunately, anyone can upskill, and there are plenty of resources out there to help us, once we know where to start. 🚀
It all starts by being aware of what we don’t know, what we want to improve, and at the same time, what we are curious about. 🔍
➡️ Upskilling can include hard skills: like how to use software or perhaps basic graphic design.
➡️ Upskilling can include soft skills: honing our listening skills or improving at giving constructive feedback.
➡️ Upskilling can also start by taking a step back and seeing what’s happening in our wider industry, and see how we can get ahead of the curve.
