Remember the lessons we learned

How many times do you find yourself wishing you could just erase some of the past? Erase the bad choices, mistakes, disappointments?
Been there, made the wish (a couple of times) myself.

Until I grew older.
Then the memories of all experiences and choices became treasures. The kind we can take out and in hindsight realize that those were the only choices we had, at that moment.

And we lived through them. We survived them.
With some scars to show, even though most of those scars we carry on our hearts.

And then I realized – if we remove our not-so-good choices (or as we like to call them – mistakes) from the past, we will be removing all our present wisdom we have gathered through these very experiences.

All we have to do is remember the lessons we learned, not the disappointments we lived through.
